Limit Revisions in WordPress
www.totalbounty.com Every time you create a post or page in WordPress - and then update it a revision is stored in the database. If you revise it 5 times you have 5 "revisions" you can fall back to. If you're the type of person that makes a lot of edits to their site, then in no time at all you can have all kinds of revisions backed up.
