WordPress Tutorial - Make Menus of Links Using the Blogroll
Beginner-level WordPress Tutorial shows how to create lists or menus of links to other websites using the Blogroll. These menus usually appear in the sidebar of a WordPress page or post. You create a new menu by creating a new Blogroll category. You can make as many menus as you want. In the second part of this tutorial, I show how you can also make lists of links to pages or posts within your own website or blog. -by Mark McLaren of McBuzz Communications

When you read a Wordpress hosting review, you most probably will learn about Wordpress as a CMS and get to know on where to find a good Wordpress hosting for your blog. This particular Wordpress hosting review will not go over the CMS and will rather focus on Fantastico as a tool that can make the lives of bloggers lot easier. With all the blogging platforms and content management systems around us these days, it is very hard to pick the right application for your blog. This article will not cover all the blogging platforms in great details but concentrate on Wordpress as it is the most popular and widely used content management system around. If you are about to start a new blog and a little confused or undecided as to which platform would suit your need, then Wordpress most likely be the one to select. When Wordpress was launched fist few years ago, only a handful of web hosts were offering Wordpress hosting packages at that time. Out of those few hosts, most of them didn't even have Fantastico auto installer. Blog owners would actually have to install Wordpress manually on the hosting server, setup the database, and finally configure the config.php file within Wordpress to get the blog up and running. It was a lot of work, not to mention the insane amount of time it took to complete the entire process. And to top it off, you would actually have to have some good technical background to get ...

Well, here is my latest finding, and although it probably won't make you enough money to retire with, it could help to generate some passive income with almost no work! Have you ever clicked on a particular website only to get a message that says, File Not Found or 404 Error or some other message which in effect says, Sorry, pal, you typed in the wrong URL. Isn't that frustrating! You think to yourself...this person doesn't know what they're doing. They can't be very professional! Here you are, ready to purchase a product or get more information, only to be told that there is an error. So you do one of two things. You either keep trying, or you give up for the moment, depending on how busy you are and how important it is to get to that website. You may in fact, never get around to going back to that website. Now, suppose YOU are website owner? You might have a personal website, or a business website. If it is a business website and someone reaches this error page and gives up in despair, you just lost a customer. Maybe they will try again, but maybe they will never return, and it's a shame, since no one is in business to turn away customers. Well there is a solution to this problem and that's what I'm so excited about. Jason Dinner, one of Mike Filsaime's proteges has produced a special report ...

Visit WordPressTutorials.TV for more WordPress Tutorials and cPanel Tutorials. Most likely you're not a programmer or a computer expert but, there comes a time to choose a hosting provider for your first website and you will definitely want to select a host that offers cPanel. This is one of the most all-purpose solutions for any website owner because it allows you to easily control your own website. With cPanel (which is short for Control Panel), you can perform website updates and maintenance that you would unlikely be able to do otherwise. Many different web hosts provide cPanel because it not only creates easier website administration for the webmaster, but it also results in less of a need for technical support directly from the web host. This is a benefit for the web host, as it can save them time and money. So, locating cPanel web hosting should be relatively easy. In fact, you can install cPanel on any server in the world. So, any web host that wishes to provide cPanel can purchase the necessary software. This implies that even website hosting resellers can offer cPanel to their customers, if they choose. By selecting a web host that has cPanel, you will notice that many features of working with a website have been simplified. Even if you have no understanding of HTML, website coding, or programming, you can learn to care for the creation of your website on your own. Within cPanel, you can also execute your own administrative functions. With cPanel, it is easy to ...

WordPress 2.5+ Tutorial - How to Upload and Insert an Image
WordPress 2.5+ Tutorial - How to Upload and Insert an Image
This beginner-level tutorial shows how to insert an image using WordPress version 2.5 or later. Inserting an image using WordPress version 2.5 or 2.6 is slightly different than inserting an image using WordPress version 2.3 or earlier. Versions 2.5 and 2.6 are essentially the same. Version 2.6 is the latest version as of July 2008. Inserting an image that you have already uploaded to WordPress but haven't used in a particular post or page is actually a bit confusing in version 2.5 or later. You need to be able to find the elusive "Insert into Post" button. It's not obvious. There are many other settings and features in the "Add media" tools in the WordPress editing interface. This tutorial covers only the most basic aspects of uploading and inserting an image.

WordPress Tutorial - An Introduction to WordPress 2.7
WordPress Tutorial - An Introduction to WordPress 2.7
www.freemarketmediagroup.com This is the first in a series of WordPress 2.7 Tutorials. WordPress started in 2003 with a single bit of code to enhance the typography of everyday writing and with fewer users than you can count on your fingers and toes. Since then it has grown to be the largest self-hosted blogging tool in the world, used on hundreds of thousands of sites and seen by tens of millions of people every day. The popular open source blogging software WordPress has officially released version 2.7, a significant upgrade that makes huge improvements to the user interface, and, more importantly, according to founder Matt Mullenweg, the new code lays the groundwork for WordPress to expand further into the social networking realm. With the release of version 2.7 (Coultrane) you'd be hard pressed to find someone who thinks the new interface is anything but stunning. Even better than stunning is the amazing amount of customizations options — if the new interface isn't to your liking, just hide, drag-and-drop, rearrange or resize the elements until it is. There are also some very useful new features like the ability to create "sticky" posts, posts that remain on your homepage no matter when they were published, as well as some great new comment moderation tools. blogging, blog, wordpress, wordpress 2.7, Coultrane, Matt Mullenweg, open source, wordpress tutorial
